What could you do with an extra 10 minutes gained every lash lift service? Have a snack, Have a nap, go to the bathroom, text clients back or add on a service! Using Elleebana’s Flex Rods will give you that time.
Elleebana Flex Rods were created to save the stylist time and effort with a unique fitted shape and made with a specific silicone that self adhere to your clients’ lids without adhesive. These new rods come in the same recognizable branded Elleebana orange to ensure your photos stand out from the rest. They come in a combo pack with a set of small, medium, large and extra large rods inside. The individual rods are clearly marked for the ‘left’ eye or the ‘right’ eye. We love this new feature. For example, on a set of small rods you will see ‘SR’ in a circle on the outside end, this stands for ‘small rod’. In the inner corner there will be either an ‘L’ or ‘R’ for left or right.
When designing the new rods, Elleebana’s owner, Otto Mitter prioritized maintaining the original rod shape. Ensuring the beloved Elleebana lifted curl would remain true to the traditional C curl shape. This shape is universally applicable and suited to all eye shapes and lash types.
Sometimes you can see irritation on a clients’ lids because of the glue used to adhere the shield or rod to the lid. If a client’s lids are dry or sensitive, make sure your client comes to the appointment without any eye make up on. This is important because removing the eye make up can sometimes cause micro abrasions on the lid skin which can cause a burning sensation for your client. Using flex rods, avoids any of these issues!
Keep these helpful tips in mind from your Elleebana Direct team.
Flex rods are self adhering, but you should expect a different hold than when using glue. The flex rod will rest on the lid with a light grip, without an uncomfortable suction-like effect. If tinting on the rods, these rods will stain so we do not encourage tinting on the rod.
Ideal cleansing includes washing rods with antibacterial soap then following your state board’s required disinfectant process. The Flex rod will stay in great condition to reuse for a long time.
When choosing your correct rod size, use your handy Elleebana Tree Tool and the hashmarks to see which rods work best with your clients’ lash length.
Don’t be afraid to use your left and right flex rods interchangeably depending on which end works better for your clients’ lashes!
